Case Study:

Northlands Care Home

Project Scope

We undertook a comprehensive branding and responsive design project for Northlands Care Home and Muirton House Care Home, in the heart of Perthshire. We combined logo design, web development, brand strategy and care home design expertise.

Our aim was to create a cohesive brand identity that reflects compassionate care, Scottish heritage and modern functionality in the senior living sector.

The project delivered a strong visual brand, a responsive website upgrade and clear brand guidelines to support future growth.

Project Overview

Located in Rosemount, Blairgowrie, Northlands Care Home offers specialist nursing and dementia care across 49 rooms.

The existing visual identity and web presence were dated and did not reflect the high standards of care or the unique Scottish setting, so a refreshed branding, improved signage and a responsive website were required to raise the profile and align with their values of autonomy and respect.

The Challenge

We conducted a brand audit, studied senior-care branding trends in Scotland, then developed a symbol (inspired by the rowan tree motif from their grounds) and a colour palette that evokes trust, warmth and heritage.

Alongside this, we built a responsive WordPress site (leveraging our web development and responsive design expertise) to ensure the brand worked smoothly across mobile, tablet and desktop.

The Result

We delivered a new logo and full brand-identity kit (logo files, stationery, signage templates, iconography) plus a responsive website optimised for user experience and consistent branding.

The identity was applied to the two-building campus in Blairgowrie and across printed and digital assets, bringing cohesion to the built environment, care-home design elements and online presence.
